A Dance in the Ring with Money Mayweather

In every sport, there is at least one player that we, as fans, either love or hate. There is no in between. In the boxing world, that person is Floyd “Money” Mayweather. The thirty-six year old champion was introduced to the gym shortly after he learned how to walk. His father, Floyd Mayweather Sr., would hold him in front of speed bags and soon Floyd Jr. was throwing punches at everything in sight. By seven years old, Mayweather Jr. was fitted for his first pair of boxing gloves and has yet to hang them up for good.

WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL, REMEMBER 9/11
On September 11, 2001, the nation witnessed unparalleled destruction. Weeks, months, and years after the feeling of dread and loss loomed in the air. 12 years later, the U.S. is still recovering from the emotional and physical trauma and loss.
The paranoia of vulnerability of American citizens continues, but 9/11 should be a reminder of just how vital world peace is and how far we as a nation have to work to achieve it.

THE NFL SAYS, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!”

The NFL is screaming, “enough is enough” regarding Detroit Lions defensive tackle, Ndamukong Suh after he blindsided Vikings center, John Sullivan with an illegal block to the knees. Sullivan, the six-year returning veteran, had just undergone micro-fracture knee surgery during this passed offseason and was able to avoid a possible season-ending injury. Sullivan also went on record saying, “there needs to be consequences when guys don’t respect the careers of other players.”
