East2Westmagazine, takes a tour around London. Flying into Gatwick Airport, I had very little difficulty reaching my hotel. The “Master Roberts Hotel” (no longer there) was an ‘ok’ place for boarding.
Located in West Hounslow-(Hounslow is a large suburban town, and one of the main towns of the Borough of Hounslow in London, England.
Transportation was readily available and very easy to adjust to. The bus was literally 100 ft. away from my hotel. The are I stayed in, is semi diverse in culture.
From what I was able to ascertain from my stay… is the: Polish, Indian, and Czechia population is predominant.
There are plenty of food joints to hit up. Food diversity is important to me when I travel. Of course I had to grab some, “Fish-n-Chips”. The people are hard working, everyday people.
And they seem to have a sense of complacency for the ‘middle-class’ lifestyles. After traveling on public transportation, I had to do some walking. To get the most out of any trip, bring good walking shoes.
Catching the ‘tube’ I went into Central London to see the “London Bridge” and the other historic landmarks in the area. Reaching the London Bridge Station, it was very crowded, but worth the inconvenience.
Going towards “Queens Walk” I could instantly see “Westminster Abby.” In fact I almost forgot to ask, “was I on the London Bridge yet?”
To my right, I saw the “Tower Bridge” which I thought was the London Bridge. From there I saw ” Big Ben” and a few other landmarks. But, I was determined to ride the ‘river-bus’ on the “River Thames.”
